Mirage’s doors are made to retract slowly to prevent injury without danger of trapped fingers or slamming. Other brands of retractable screens have pull bars that accelerate into their housings when they close. A child’s fingers in the wrong place at the wrong time could easily be bruised by an accelerating retractable screen. Mirage’s Safe Glide Retractable Screens, on the other hand, cause the pull bar to safely decelerate into it’s housing when released. Our tests show a closure rate three to four times slower than the industry average.
